DESIGN GUIDE

We do not normally charge for artwork, laying out and print setup - providing the artwork you supply follows these guidelines.

 Print size 90mm x 90mm - all text, logos etc within 85mm x 85mm area.
Placemats

 Placemats also have 5mm rounded corners.
Mousemats
235mm x 184mm
 MOUSEMAT IMAGES ARE 241mm x 190mm - the mousemat is then stamped out and a 3mm (approx.) border is trimmed off.

Key Rings

 As the print area is relatively small on some of these products, try to keep the volume of text to a minimum and the font size as large as possible.

For placemats it is possible to specify other sizes up to approx A3 - please call for assistance.

Artwork Format

Artwork can be provided in any of the following formats:

  • Digital - on CD or Email.
    • Images MUST be at least as big as the final product size.
    • Print resolution MUST be at least 150dpi (ideally 300 dpi)
    • Files can be JPG, Tif or EPS or PDF
  • Printed Material - Suitable for scanning
    • High quality print
    • Postcards
    • Photographs
      • Note: Letter heads are NOT suitable - they are usually too small.
      • Inkjet prints are also not suitable due to the lines in the print

      An additional charge will be applied for any artwork not received in the required format. No work will be carried out until a budget has been agreed.

Layout Guide

Design your image to be the same size as the finished product - same width and height so no blank border remains.

DO NOT put text up against the edge of the image - allow at least 5mm on coasters and 10 mm on placemats and mousemats. Text on the edges will be lost when the product is sanded or stamped out.

We do not require any bleed on the artwork.

"Mount Only"

Artwork can also be supplied pre-printed and cut to size, ready for mounting straight on to the mats. Please call the Sales Team to discuss paper types and weights which we can accept.
